When it comes to entertainment in North Cyprus you will definitely be spoilt for choice. There is literally so much to do that every day of your holiday could be packed with something fun and exciting to do.
Sports Entertainment
There are approximately 140 sporting clubs located throughout North Cyprus and there are 14 national sporting federations. In total there are also approximately 15,000 registered athletes. The national stadium for sporting events in North Cyprus is located in Nicosia and this stadium has the capacity to hold 20,000 spectators. There are also a number of smaller stadiums throughout North Cyprus that can hold up to 5,000 spectators.
For entertainment during your holiday you can choose from a number of activities and listed below is some information on each of them.
Paintball
Paintball is an extremely popular and exciting outdoor sport which can be played by both men and women and is a great way to spend an afternoon or morning during your holidays.
Camping
Camping is another great way to spend some of your holiday and there are official camp sites located in Kyrenia and Famagusta. These camp sites have a number of facilities including washrooms, restaurants, toilets, and bars. You can of course venture out into the wild and there are no restrictions in place for doing so. The only thing you can’t do is light fires in the forest as this is an offence.
Scuba Diving
Scuba diving is very popular in North Cyprus and a great way to explore the sea and the marine life that lives here. North Cyprus has one of the longest diving seasons in the Mediterranean and there are a number of excellent dive schools that will teach you what you need to know.
Go-Carting
If you want to spoil your children for the day why not take them go-carting. The ZET International Carting Circuit is located in North Cyprus and this circuit has one of the best racing surfaces. Open since May 2000, this go-carting circuit exceeds the highest European standards.
Horse Riding
Horse riding is another great way to spend one of your days and North Cyprus has three excellent riding clubs that you can avail of. All three offer tours and training so even beginners can enjoy a day out.
Bowling
There is one bowling alley in North Cyprus and this is located in Nicosia. This is a great way to treat the entire family and enjoy a fun filled evening.
Yachting
You can take a yacht or boat tour all through the summer in North Cyprus. These tours depart from Girne Harbour. There are a large number of vendors to choose from so it is wise to take you time and see exactly what each of them is offering. You can get full day tours that also include a barbeque, fishing, and swimming. There are a number of tours that also depart from the Gazi Magusa port and these tours sail around the Karpaz peninsula.
Fishing
Fishing is very traditional in North Cyprus and the old harbour in Kyrenia is where you will see all the fishing boats. This is another great way to spend your day and you can avail of fishing tours and much more.
Water Parks
For a fun filled day why not try a water park. There are a number of water parks in North Cyprus for you to choose from but you should note that most of these water parks are included in hotel complexes so it is wise to check these out first.
As you can see, when it comes to entertainment in North Cyprus you really do have a lot to choose from. To make things easier though it is a good idea to have a rental car so that you can really enjoy what is on offer.
