Like our Samurai’s our Sunny’s are between 6 and 8 years old, but we keep them in excellent condition so that you never have to worry about a thing when visiting North Cyprus. This little car can seat five people comfortably and afford you the luxury of having air conditioning without having to spend extra money on the car hire price. It is also perfect for visitors to Cyprus who have traveled across the island before and just need something that can get them around town. It is also great for extended stays in the country when you need a reliable and cheap car.
Our Nissan Sunny’s have a large boot so you will never have to worry about arranging the luggage to fit in the car. Each of them has power steering, central locking, airbags, and ABS equipped standard on them. A few of our models come with hand crank front windows, but most of the ones in our stable have electric front windows. They come in manual or automatic and use unleaded petrol only.

All of our Focus’ are manual transmissions and are between two and four years old. We keep them well maintained so that you never have to worry about the car as you enjoy the Cyprus countryside. Each of our cars has power steering, central locking, electric front windows, airbags and ABS. These cars are economical and get great gas mileage. As with the current standards of gas usage, they also use unleaded petrol. The boot of these cars can handle luggage for the entire family.

About Suzuki Samurai 4x4 Soft Top

Our Suzuki Samurai is one of our most popular summer vehicles. The most inexpensive rental car in our fleet, it comes in a soft top 4x4 manual transmission model. The Samurai’s are the predecessors of Suzuki’s Vitara, but that doesn’t mean they are ready to be retired yet.

Even though they can seat four people comfortably, we don’t recommend them for families because they do not have seat belts in the back seats. Great for parties of two, the Suzuki Samurai can easily handle the more mountainous terrain of North Cyprus. The fuel efficient 4x4 uses unleaded petrol and these versatile vehicles can handle any weather condition no matter where you are on the island.

If you get caught in rain, the soft top is easy to put back on until the rain has passed.
Ranging between five and seven years old – and in excellent condition we might add – the Samurai is great for some off-roading. The soft top is removable and the boot can easily fit the luggage of one to two travelers. It does not have power steering, air conditioning, airbags, ABS, electric front windows, or central locking, but if you have the top off and the wind in your hair, you’re not going to mind.

Driving in the South Cyprus

For all drivers for car hire from Pacific Rent A Car in North Cyprus, including persons visiting on holiday, vacation, or business!

Please be aware, that our Rental Agreements and Insurance Policies do not allow you to take your vehicle across the border to South Cyprus under any circumstances. Our Insurance Company has advised us that any vehicle reported as being driven outside the TRNC will be reported as stolen and immediate legal action will be invoked.

When driving in the TRNC, you are covered under full insurance, allowing you to drive your vehicle without concern of liability, providing you remain within the restrictions of the Law and follow the rules of the road.

Please note that Northern Cyprus operates a Zero tolerance drink driving law.

Fuel Options Update

Here is a fuel options update from our previous post. For tourists or business visitors to North Cyprus looking for car hire, we have another fuel option with "Leave it as you got it".

For most visitors on holiday or vacation, we deliver our vehicles with the equivelent of 20 GB Pounds of fuel: This is the most popular petrol option. We fill the car up form Pacific Petrol Station and deliver it to you. The car will be provided with the equivelent of 20 GB Pounds of fuel, which you will be charged for and then you return the car empty. Please note that petrol is not refundable.

New fuel options update: “Leave it as you got it”

This is the second option which we don’t recommend if you are getting the car at Ercan Airport and driving long distance. We are offering this option for our customers who do not want to get full tank petrol because they believe they will not use full tank petrol.

If you choose this option, we deliver the petrol as it is and you bring it back as you got it.

Ercan airport car park is not free of charge anymore. It is 5 Turkish Lira which is approximately equals to 2 GBP. TRNC Car Hire Organisations working to get special car park for car hires which will be free of charge.
